Young and old, families and students, readers and listeners–come join in the fun! Celebrate International Literacy Day on Friday, September 8th, 4-5pm, by listening to books being read aloud or reading your own book aloud on the Ithaca Commons!

Tompkins County Public Library, Family Reading Partnership, and Tompkins Learning Partners have partnered to host “Read Along the Commons,” a community celebration featuring pop-up read aloud stories.

Designed to highlight the importance of reading and lifelong learning, “Read Along the Commons” will feature volunteer readers from each of the three partner agencies reading aloud with attendees of all ages. Listen in or read your own book aloud!

This program is free and open to the public.
