Join our team as the Program and Outreach Coordinator

Family Reading Partnership, located outside of Ithaca, NY,  is searching for a new team member! Are you an engaging, creative, organized, and kind person who has experience working with families and young children? Our organization aims to bring books and read-aloud experiences to every baby and young child in Tompkins County, and you could be a part of that! Our Program and Outreach Coordinator will focus on:

            -New program development

            -Program monitoring and evaluation

            -Volunteer recruitment, training, and coordination

            -Event planning and execution

            -Social media content creation

            -Communication with partner agencies

We are looking to find someone who has worked closely with 0-5 year-old’s and/or who has educational experience in early childhood development. The right person will have a keen eye on equity and inclusion, a fresh and discerning perspective on early childhood programming, and will be excited to work independently as well as within a small team.


             -At least three years of experience working with early childhood populations or families

             -At least two years of post-high school education

             -Experience with basic computer programs (Google, Microsoft, etc.)

             -Positive attitude

             -Flexible schedule

             -Access to a vehicle that you can use, at least occasionally, to transport event materials

This is a 30 hour per week, part-time, non-exempt position with a flexible start date in April or May of 2020.
